How can you improve the performance of your conveyor Lines? Regina has the ultimate solution!!!
In the first half of the nineties, Regina understood that the development of new products for conveyor appication should have been through an expanded us of engineered polymer materials than in the past. This Strategy allowed the solving of geometrical problems and suited new line requirements. The long standing and close co-operation between Regina and DuPoint resulted in the formulation of the new Derlin with Kevlar material (DK).
Regina introduced DK to the market during Drinktec 2997
We felt that, after many years of slow evolution, this was the first major step forard, increasing wear resistance and reducing coefficient of friction compared to the tradional thermoplastic chains. DK material was offered to traditional users of stainless steel chains, allowing them to use a wider range of products and improve the conveyors line efficiency. In more that ten years of field experience, DK provced to be a problem solver and allowed our customers to overcome critical bottlenecks. Partners of this adventure have been global leaders such as Coca Cola, Empresas Polar, Inbev, Modelo Mexico,Nestle Group, Owens Illinois and Saint Gobain.
Our Customers achieved great adavntages in terms of dust build up and lubrication reduction, minimizing the cost of lubricants and waste water treatment.
"Drinktec September 2009 Munich"
Ten years after the first innovation, regina and Dupont announce a further evolution, introducing to the market the material of next generation DK2 chain. Maintaining the performance of the original DK chain has been designed to improve the performance in pet bottling lines.
The results obtained have shown general performance increase and cost savings for all conveyor applications and containers.
The excellent results achieved strenghten the collaboration between the two companies. Always looking for solutions at the cutting edge of technology and quality. Regina and Dupont are launching a "Green Conveyor Solution" allowing "Lubricant Free" conditions in most applications.
DK2 chain offers the following technical and performance improvements:
coefficient of friction comparison - dry running - pet bottles
- The Lowest coefficient of friction in bottling applications. - The lowest back-line pressure on conveyed containers. - Reduced stick slip effect on long centre to centre conveyors. - Drastic reduction or elimination of lubrication
wear comparison - dry running - glass bottles
- Chain wear reduction - Chain elongation reduction - Greater design freedom versus steel
The superior technical properties of DK2 easily translate into great economical advantages for the end users:
- Longer Life - Lower maintenance cost - Higher productivity - Lower environmental cost - Reduction or elimination of chemical lubricants - Water consumption savings - Lower waste water treatment cost - Lower energy consumption - Improved health and safety conditions (less wash down, no soap hazards)
